Art Exhibition

The theme of this exhibition is ‘home’ and what this means to the artists. The idea of home is a very personal experience. This simple word can kindle all kinds of emotions and transport us to different times in our lives. Charles Dickens said:

“Home is a name, a word, it is a strong one, stronger than magician ever spoke, or spirit ever answered to, in the strongest conjuration.”

Whether it’s a residence, place or people that make it so, we all understand this idea differently.

Curated by local Melbourne designer Craig Frankland, this art exhibition has brought together the talents of six local artists and designers.  Each has captured their thoughts, experiences and feelings on the theme of ‘home’ by producing an A1 poster.

This series of art work will be on display across STREAT’s cart sites over the coming months. All work in this exhibition will be auctioned online with all proceeds funding STREAT’s work with homeless youth.
